alon-alon waton kelakon (2025)

filmed in Indonesia & The Netherlands

alon-alon waton kelakon means to slow down, or to do things at your own pace to achieve the best result in Javanese. living in a fast paced capitalist life makes us forget how to slow down and feel guilty when we need to rest. this film shows how important it is to come back to tradition in this modern westernised world

the final graduation exhibition-art work display in Clublokaal, Breda. the film was projected with a beamer in the middle of the laser printed naturally dyed canvas

Cinta, hoofdstuk 1: romansa (2026)

filmed in The Netherlands

Cinta means love in Indonesian - this is a mini short film series about love; the romantic, platonic, unconditional, and all kinds of love. hoofdstuk 1 (chapter 1): romansa (romance) talks about how I personally have been dealing in heartbreak. a very personal short film that has helped me to heal parts of my self that was broken.


there will be a new film for every season, uncovering different parts of love. more to come soon.

kembali (2025)

filmed in Indonesia & The Netherlands

alongside my bio-art and performance, I have made a film showing the contrast and similarities between Indonesia and the Netherlands. being a product of colonisation, it made it difficult for me to truly feel at home in one place. kembali means to comeback in Indonesian; in this case I'm coming back to my roots, I'm coming back to my culture so I can live life the way it's intended

a dance performance inspired by the Javanese Tari Topeng (mask dance), with a mask made from seaweed as the short film plays on the background.

the ecology of home (2024)

filmed in Den Bosch and Vught for ISP 2

I have made another short film for ISP 2, a continuation of feeling whole and feeling home, I expanded the topic of home in this short film. during the presentation, before the film was playing, I read a text about home, and as the film was playing, I recited a poem that I wrote.

finding home (2024)

filmed in ENCI, Maastricht, NL for an elective module

in 2024, I took an elective module called Cartographies of the Vanishing Now, which had lead me into making a visual poetry in the format of short film. here I discussed about how we always give nature a voice without actually listening to them; colonising them in their own home. this was the first time that learned how to edit video and sound

contamination & healing (2023)

individual studio practice (ISP) 1: my first time experimenting with film making, decided to document everything with my phone, showing how I spend a day in my home town, Jakarta, during winter break in 2023. I was heavily dealing with mental health problems, and using film as a form of healing.
